What should I do with my valuables (camera, cell phone, jewellery, etc.) when I fly?

Mango advises all Guests to keep valuables in their carry-on baggage to store in the cabin compartments. This includes regular medication and car and house keys.

How much can Guest baggage weigh before incurring additional fees?

Guests have a checked baggage allowance of 20 kg. Mango Plus Guests have a generous 30 kg baggage allowance and infants have a free baggage allowance of 10 kg. Anything over and above these amounts will incur additional fees. No checked baggage may weigh more than 32 kg. Guest carry-on baggage is limited to 7 kg, and may not exceed 115 cm (56 cm + 36 cm + 23 cm).

Where and when do I check-in for my flight?

Mango’s check-in counters can be found in the Domestic Departures Terminal.  The recommended check-in time is two (2) hours prior to departure, with check-in closing 40 minutes prior to departure at both the check-in counters and CUSS (Common Use Self-Service) kiosks.

Guests may also make use of our online check-in and mobi check-in facilities. Boarding gates close 30 minutes prior to departure.

If my children are under 12 are they allowed to fly on their own?

Children (aged 2 to 11 years) and infants (aged below 2 years) must be accompanied by an individual 16 years of age or older.

How can I pay for my flights if I don’t own a credit card?

You can pay for your Mango flights using the following :

Is there a charge to change my booking?

Yes. Each amendment to your Mango flight booking will incur an administration fee. This fee is in addition to applicable fare changes and takes effect upon clicking the ’Update Now’ button. Click here for a list of our fees

Can I get a refund if I don’t fly?

Guests will only be refunded if their flight is cancelled by Mango or if we are unable to honour the Guest’s reservation resulting in the Guest being denied to board. See the Mango Terms & Conditions for more info.

How do I organise medical assistance?

Guests are required to submit the Medical Request Form to our Medical Reservations Department, in order for Mango to confirm that you are fit to fly. This form must be completed by your physician and submitted 48 hours prior to the planned flight’s departure. Your flight is only confirmed once Mango has issued a medical clearance certificate. Can my pet fly with me?

Guide dogs may be carried in the cabin provided that Mango Medical has approved and confirmed said transportation. All other pets will be transported in the pressurised cargo hold. Pets must be transported in a container. The pet and container combined may not weigh more than 32 kg.

If I have lost my ID can I still fly with Mango?

Yes you can, however, Mango will require a temporary ID and an affidavit stating that your ID is missing.

Will Mango carry my firearm?

Mango does not allow the transportation of firearms, paintball guns, air guns, crossbows operating with a gas cylinder or any other item that falls within this category in the hold or cabin of our aircraft. Guests may check in conventional crossbows, but the arrows and bow need to be separated and the string relaxed.
