All Guests travelling on Mango have a free checked baggage allowance of 20kg, regardless of the number of pieces being checked in. Should passengers' checked baggage exceed this weight allowance, excess baggage charges will be applied per kilogram or part thereof above the limit. Please note, however, that no piece of baggage may weigh more than 32kg.
Infants have a checked baggage allowance of 10kg, but do not occupy a seat. Excess baggage charges will be raised for any additional items being checked in above the checked baggage allowance. Prams and car seats being used on the way to the aircraft will not incur a cost, but need to be tagged at check in.
Guests holding a MangoPlus ticket have a checked baggage allowance of 30kg per Guest. Excess baggage charges will be applied per kilogram or part thereof above the limit.
SAA codeshare guests’ baggage allowance is based on their ticketed baggage rules. Mango excess baggage charges will be applied per kilogram or part thereof for baggage exceeding the checked baggage allowance.
Baggage or luggage is defined as articles, effects and other personal property of a Guest that are necessary or appropriate for wear, use, comfort or convenience in connection with his or her trip. It specifically excludes items such as, but not limited to, sporting and recreational equipment, bicycles, fragile, valuable and perishable articles, liquids and alcohol.
